Good morning fellow Webtoon readers and welcome to this week’s installment of Saturday Morning Webtoons! This is where we shine a light on two Webtoons we are thoroughly enjoying. These stories have had us captivated chapter after chapter each week and we couldn’t pass up sharing them with you! So grab your favorite snacks, an electronic device and settle into these sensational stories.
DISCLAIMER: The following posts have possible spoilers for Homesick and Sweet Home.
Homesick
In Ms. Freaky‘s Homesick, Rayne wakes up with absolutely no memory of who she is or how she got there. She isn’t even entirely sure what is going on around her. The only person who seems to have any idea of what is going on is Samael, a delinquent who happened to find Rayne. She isn’t sure if she can trust him, but the two end up making a deal to survive in a world where cannibalistic monsters roam and the other humans can be just as dangerous.
I am a simple person here, guys. First, it’s October, so it’s spooky season. And second, Homesick was a part of Webtoon’s recent coin challenge. So, of course, I binged it. And I was not disappointed. Rayne has no idea who she really is and Samael has his own dark past to contend with outside of the fact that they are surrounded by monsters and an evident lack of supplies. While I usually steer clear of zombie stories that tend to become cliche, this tale is mysterious enough to keep my attention!
Homesick updates every Tuesday and can be read here!

Sweet Home
In Carnby Kim and Youngchan Hwang’s Sweet Home, we are continuing our October thrillers! After reclusive high school student Hyun’s entire family dies in an accident, he is forced to finally leave his home. But what he faces on the other side is much more terrifying. It’s a reality where monsters are trying to wipe out humanity. Now he must fight alongside a handful of not-so-supportive heroes to try and save the world before it’s all gone.
I found Sweet Home right before the pandemic hit and it is one of many reasons I made it through this last year. When I started the first chapter, I wasn’t sure exactly why it was in the thriller category, with only the promise that more would come. And boy did it. Hyun is a complex character who goes through some of the best character development I have seen in a Webtoon series. Plus, once you are done binging this, you can check out the Netflix series!
Sweet Home has come to an end and can be read here!
