Good morning fellow WEBTOON readers, and welcome to this week’s installment of Saturday Morning Webtoons! This is where we shine a light on two WEBTOONs we are thoroughly enjoying. These stories have had us captivated chapter after chapter each week, and we couldn’t pass up sharing them with you! So grab your favorite snacks, an electronic device and settle into these sensational stories.
DISCLAIMER: The following posts have possible spoilers for Dr. Hound and Zombie Ship.
The spooky season continues this week with Aruani and Laym’s Dr. Hound. The thriller WEBTOON follows Suryeom, just your ordinary veterinarian. Or is he? Suryeom’s life is definitely more than meets the eye. But what are his secrets? Where did he get his powers? And who is his alter ego – the Hound? But worst of all – who is Argos? And why is Dr. Hound the only one able to catch him?
I wasn’t sure what to feel going into Dr. Hound, but folx, I love it. There is a lot going on within the story. We have Suryeom and the Hound, who couldn’t be more different. And not just in their hairstyles. It’s incredible to see how well Aruani and Laym tell this story from both perspectives while not becoming convoluted. It’s also packed with mystery, suspense and gore, so this one isn’t for the lighthearted.
Dr. Hound updates every Monday and can be read here! Be mindful that it is on a daily pass, which means you can only read a chapter a day without spending coins to continue.
This week’s second series is Zombie Ship by Park Jung Ki, Choi Hae Woong and Choi Inso. The story follows Navy SEAL officer Roberto Hoffman. Life was peaceful and perfect until the zombies appeared and killed his family. Now Hoffman only has his niece Ara. They hop on to the world’s biggest cruise ship named Noah, hoping to find a new land of life. Somewhere where the zombies haven’t touched. But will the ship fulfill that wish?
I’m a simple spooky season girl. You show me hoards and hoards of zombies. I’m in. You show me a badass dad figure protecting the only family he has left? I’m in. So you, the first chapter of Zombie Ship, had all of my attention. This WEBTOON is not for the faint of heart or stomach. The art style and color palette only help to elevate the horror and gore packed into this series. There is so much mystery and hope in this series you won’t want to stop reading.
Zombie Ship is completed and can be read here. Be mindful that it is on a daily pass, which means you can only read a chapter a day without spending coins to continue.
