These exorcists are on a mission in Explodikid‘s series Covenant. Ezra is a powerful exorcist with no faith in God who is tasked with protecting a seemingly normal human from the rise of demonic forces. But how normal is he? With Ezra’s church under scrutiny and a threat of war on the horizon, will Ezra find his conviction in time? Or will Sunny suffer in the end?

I’ll admit I was a bit wary when Covenant first launched. However, within the first chapter, it became apparent that I was about to fall in love and there was nothing I could do to stop it. Explodikid’s world-building is top-notch and the characters are simply amazing. Plus, it’s impossible not to find yourself thinking about how things will play out even after finishing the weekly chapter.

Covenant updates every Sunday and can be read here!

Simon Sues

Keeping up kicking some demon tush, we have Myung Hee‘s, Simon Sues. This series follows Simon, a shining star in law school. But, instead of joining a traditional law firm that has him dealing with mortal stakes, he is thrown into an unspeakable courtroom of evil. Now Simon is the only thing that stands between peace on Earth and the fall of humankind.

Similar to Covenant, this was a series I wasn’t entirely sure I was going to get drawn into. But Simon Sues definitely proved me wrong. Simon has a good heart and is driven to do good. Which is great since he is the only thing standing between the demons and the human race. Myung Hee balances the series well between the serious and comical moments to help round out a great read.

Simon Sues every Thursday and can be read here!
