Acursian

Acursian WEBTOON Original Series.
Our first series this week comes from the incredible minds of John Barrowman, Carole Barrowman, and Erika Lewis. Acurian is a time-traveling magical journey that bounces between 1745 and the present day. Charles Stewart is cursed after his ancestry, Prince Charles Edward Stewart, makes a deal with the god of war, Bregon. Everything backfires when three talismans are stolen from the goddesses of fate and time and a battle ensues, leaving the Stewart descendants cursed to deal with the consequences.
If the fact that John, Carole, and Erika bringing this story to life isn’t enough, let us continue to persuade you. It’s an action-packed supernatural adventure that features some of our favorite world-building and characters. The first few chapters are filled with moments where you equally feel bad for Charlie and secretly wish his 40th birthday drama would get worse. If you haven’t had the chance to check this series out, add it to the top of your list.
Acursian is finished and can be read in full here!

Apocalyptic Horseplay

Apocalyptic Horseplay WEBTOON Original Series.
Our supernatural kick continues this week as we dive into Boredman‘s Apocalyptic Horseplay. The now-retired Horsemen of the Apocalypse have been reformed and sworn off their ancient ways and are now living in a small peaceful town in England. Everything is ah-okay until one nosy student journalist starts poking around in their business. And to make matters worse, there is a child who might just bring about the End of the World.
We think it’s safe to say that we really love Boredman’s art style. This is the second series from him to make our must-read list (BlackSmith being the first) and it’s a solid read. Everyone knows the story of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, now find out what they do when they are retired and looking to just relax. Plus, Apocalyptic Horseplay‘s student journalist is one of our favorite characters this year. Seriously, she’s a hoot.
Apocalyptic Horseplay is complete and can be read in full here!
