Stacey, Victor, Tina and Alex will trapped in a moment that tortures them. And the longer they stay, the quicker they will forget where they come from.
As soon as they walk out of the hostel doors, they are each transported to their internal realms. Nico goes to her grandmother’s home. Her aunts are with her grandmother and they want the Staff of One. When Nico mentions that the staff is within her, the women grabbed her, ready to cut her open to get it. A single ninja warrior arrives, saving Nico and insisting that Nico go with her. The warrior reveals herself as Amy (Amanda Suk), Nico’s sister. Nico insists they find her people first, starting with Tina.
Chase (Gregg Sulkin) goes to the past and finds his dad being beaten by his grandfather Curtis Stein (Granville Ames). Victor tries to face his father, but gets hit in the face with the bat. Chase jumps in to help and takes the bat away from Curtis. Chase starts beating Curtis with the bat. Victor stops Chase, but Chase is in such a rage, he almost hits Victor. Victor says abuse is a choice. Chase calms down and they leave.
They go to the Minoru home on the day that Amy died. Nico approaches Tina and says they need to leave. But Tina won’t leave. She is holding the Staff of One and wants to use it to bring Amy back to life. She can’t remember the spell though, and asks Nico to do it. Nico ends Tina’s memory instead. Tina says they are in the Dark Dimension. They decide to leave, but Amy is gone.
Gert (Ariela Barer) transports to the day that Stacey mind wiped Gert. This happened when Gert was about thirteen. Gert wandered into the basement when Stacey and Dale were creating Old Lace. They didn’t want her to remember seeing the dinosaur because it scared her. That was about the same time that Gert developed an anxiety disorder.
This moment tortures Stacey because she hurt her daughter. Stacey is confident that everything she does for Gert is to protect her. Gert says she doesn’t need Stacey’s protection. Stacey wants Gert to prove that she doesn’t need her by feeding the dinosaur. Gert thinks it’s Old Lace, but it’s not. The dinosaur attacks Gert, scratching her arm. Stacey tranquilizes the dinosaur and Chase arrives.
Karolina (Virginia Gardner) faces her own guilt and fears. She runs into Destiny Gonzalez (Nicole Wolf) and the other sixteen sacrifices. Destiny says they died for Karolina’s light. The Seventeen take Karolina hostage, with plans to feed her to the darkness that comes for them every night. They chain her to a fence, just in time for the Darkness to arrive.
The Darkness is a distorted and dark version of Nico, chained to Jonah’s dead body. Dark Nico is happy to see Karolina and is still very much in love with her. She asks for a kiss, but Karolina won’t do it. Dark Nico releases Karolina and Karolina cuts the chain between Dark Nico and Jonah, releasing Nico from her pain.
Dark Nico says her pain is loneliness and Karolina is the cure. Karolina says she can’t be that for Nico and runs away. Dark Nico runs after her, reminding Karolina that she said she would love Nico and her darkness no matter what. A door opens and Karolina runs through.
Molly (Allegra Acosta) faces an ugly truth about her parents. Molly’s parents are actually the people who choose who to sacrifice to Jonah. Her parents say it’s an honor to serve Jonah. Molly gets upset as she watches the teenagers all die from poisoning. Molly’s parents try to make her drink kool aid that killed the teens. Molly runs away and the dream ends.
Karolina and Nico are reunited. They find Molly, still very upset about the truth she learned. Gert, Chase, Victor and Stacey arrive. Stacey checks on Molly but Molly doesn’t remember her. Victor says they need to leave immediately before everyone starts forgetting. Karolina reminds everyone that Alex is still missing. Nico can’t remember who Alex is so Tina says if they stay any longer, they will all be gone forever. Chase says that they will come back for Alex.
They all return to the hostel and all of the guests are gone. Amy shows up and says she’s an emissary of Morgan le Fay (Elizabeth Hurley). She was sent to retrieve Nico and give her to Morgan. Seeing Nico and Tina reminded her of her old life, so now she won’t turn in Nico. Tina uses a blood magic spell with Nico’s help. The Staff emerges from Nico’s body. Tina casts a spell and Nico uses the staff to open a portal.
Everyone walks through the portal. Tina and Nico ask Amy to go with them. Amy says she is safer in the Dark Dimension. Morgan would sense her presence and that wouldn’t be good for any of them. They say goodbye to Amy again and leave. Amy disappears and Quinton reappears. It was never really Amy.
When everyone returns to the present day hostel. Victor, Stacey and Tina are in awe of the place since its their first time there. They discover that they’ve been gone for six months.
