Chase (Gregg Sulkin) tries to insert the power of the inhibitors in to handheld weapons that the team can use. Gert (Ariela Barer) helps him while the rest of the group goes after Alex (Rhenzy Feliz). Before they leave, Nico (Lyrica Okano) encounters Morgan le Fay (Elizabeth Hurley) again who is able to touch Nico through a mirror. And the group learns about Catherine’s (Angel Parker) death on the news. They have to wonder if evil Alex killed her.
Alex prepares to take Leslie (Annie Wersching) to Victor (James Marsters), but her water breaks. She needs to go to the hospital, ruining Alex’s plans. He takes her to Tamar (Ozioma Akagha) instead and asks her to deliver the baby. Tamar gives Alex a list of supplies that she needs and he leaves.
Leslie warns Tamar that Alex is not who he says he is. She asks Tamar to get a message to Karolina (Virginia Gardner). She also tells Tamar to get her baby and leave before Alex can hurt them.
Alex realizes that Leslie is on to him when Tamar disappears, but she comes back. Tamar hits Alex over the head, knocking him out, but not for long. Alex is threatening Tamar when Karolina, Molly (Allegra Acosta), Xavin, and Nico arrive.
Molly and Xavin help Leslie deliver a baby girl. Alex runs away with Nico and Karolina in pursuit. The girls split up and Nico encounters Alex first. He is trying to climb a fence to get away. He threatens to jump into her body and take over her power against the others if she doesn’t let him go. Nico stands by while Alex climbs and runs. Karolina catches up only to learn they lost him. They return to Tamar’s house.
After the baby is born, the abstract starts going crazy. Xavin can read the abstract and reveals the Gibborim’s plan to escape Earth, causing a catastrophic event. She also reveals the scrub team that will come through from the other side to kill anyone who interacted with the Gibborims. They need to find the platform and stop the Gibborims from escaping.
Everyone returns to the hostel. Chase and Gert finished the weapons and prepare everyone for battle. Chase says the weapons should keep the Gibborims from jumping bodies. They have to keep the weapons in direct contact with the aliens until they die.
Xavin stays behind to protect Leslie. Leslie names the baby Elle. She shows Xavin her father’s journal before he met Jonah. There is a passage about a great love that will bring peace to the universe. Xavin realizes that she misinterpreted her prophecy.
Leslie interprets the passage as her daughter will lead a world far from Earth and save countless, innocent lives. That child will be raised by another, a noble warrior who will love and protect the child as her own. Leslie gives Xavin permission to take her newborn daughter to her world to fulfill her destiny.
Nico is a little nervous without her staff, but Karolina has every bit of confidence that they will win. She tells Nico about losing her in her dream. She never wants to lose Nico again.
Chase interrupts Gert to talk to her. He says she made it clear that there is nothing romantic between them, but he needed her to know that he loves her. He has for a while and needed to say it in case he never got another chance. At first Gert is shocked, but then she just tells him to get ready to leave.
Tamar sees an ambulance pull up. She checks on Leslie to let her know they are checking on the baby, but Leslie didn’t call the paramedics. They find the EMT staff on the front lawn and the baby is gone. Alex returned and took the child.
Gert tells Old Lace about what Chase said. She doesn’t trust him, but Old Lace does. They are interrupted by Karolina who tells her that Alex took the baby.
Alex meets up with the Gibborim family, infuriating Stacey (Brigid Brannagh). She slaps Victor for having another child outside of their marriage. Alex wants the baby to take his place and he will lead the kill team on Earth. Stacey doesn’t like it, but they have no time to argue. The Gibborim open the portal, but it will take time before it’s ready for transport. While they wait, the Runaways attack.
Chase runs after Victor, using the advance fistigons to fight him. Chase sta s Victor, but Victor fights back. Gert goes after Stacey, throwing a knife at her shoulder and disabling Stacey’s powers. Stacey overpowers Gert and Molly appears. Stacey runs away. Nico goes after Tina (Brittany Ishibashi). Tina says she smothered her mother and enjoys fighting Nico. Tina uses her gibborim power to push Nico back and runs away.
Karolina stays near the portal just in case one of the Gibborims returns. Xavin shows up and tells Karolina about Leslie’s plan.
Victor catches up with Alex and takes the baby. He tells Alex to help with his mother and sister. Victor heads to the portal and is stopped by Gert and Molly. Chase and Nico join them and Xavin tells them about the reinterpreted prophecy and she’s taking the baby. She asks Molly to protect Leslie. Xavin and the baby leave through the portal.
All four of the Gibborim return to the portal and blasts their power together at the Runways. Karolina counters their move, but she’s not strong enough to hold them off. Nico’s darkness emerges, as everyone else grows weak.
Morgan tells Nico that she has the power to stop her friends from dying. The Darkness takes over and Nico pulls the staff from her chest. Morgan whispers the spell that Nico needs to defeat the Gibborim. With all of her dark powers, Nico makes the Gibborim, Alex and their parents disappear, but they are not dead.
With Nico’s spell, Morgan is released into the real world. She goes to the hosptial where Robert lays in a coma. She tells him to wake up. They have a lot of work to do.
