The Pride families have always been close, considering the parents were killing kids for Jonah and benefiting from his power in their personal lives. And then Amy Minoru (Amanda Suk) died. Her death hit Nico and Alex (Rhenzy Feliz) the hardest.
Amy and Alex were best friends, so it was strange for Alex to be missing from her funeral. Catherine (Angel Parker) believed Jonah killed Amy and wants out of Pride before she loses her own son. Alex couldn’t even attend the funeral. He blamed himself for not seeing Amy’s pain and preventing her death. Catherine finds him outside and tells him that he’s not to blame.
In the present day, Nico is convinced that she is hosting the fourth Gibborim alien. They need to find a way to confirm who is the fourth Gibborim. Alex suggests using the X-ray goggles. When he used them to see into the Stein’s house, he saw a glow around Karolina (Virginia Gardner), Stacey (Brigid Brannagh), and Tina (Brittany Ishibashi). The goggles are missing though. There is alot of suspicion between the Runaways, so they all decide to turn in and get some rest. Maybe they will think a little clearer the next day.
Chase (Gregg Sulkin) tries to smooth things over with Gert (Ariela Barer). She remains civil with him, but cautious. Molly (Allegra Acosta) tries to teach Xavin (Clarissa Thibeaux) how to sleep, but Xavin doesn’t need sleep. Karolina and Nico reunite, but Nico’s darkness emerges when she’s kissing Karolina. This prompts Nico to burn the Staff of One.
Morgan le Fey (Elizabeth Hurley) transports Nico to the Dark Dimension again and offers to mentor Nico in the absence of Tina. Nico doesn’t want the dark power and burns the staff anyway. What Nico doesn’t know is that the staff gives Morgan more access to the real world.
Tina meets with her engineers to build the platform the Gibborims need to get home. She only chose the most attractive men to work on the project. She also finds a food delivery guy to take her home. Tina feeds the delivery guy to Victor (James Marsters), who was flaking way too much for Tina.
Leslie (Annie Wersching) meets with her mother Susan (Kathleen Quinlan) to ask for protection. She is worried that the new baby will be different than Karolina. Her mom doesn’t really help though, but gives Leslie a journal instead.
Leslie returns to the mansion with the X-ray goggles in hand. She found them at the entrance and the goggles are broken. Alex suggests they use the inhibitors to determine who is an alien…besides Karolina. There are a couple of inhibitors at the Minoru residence.
Geoffrey goes to Tamar (Ozioma Akagha) to ask for help contacting Alex. Tamar is very happy that Catherine was arrested. She won’t give him Alex’s number but allows Geoffry to use her phone to call his son. Alex doesn’t seem to care that Catherine wants to see him until Geoffry passes along a message, 15373251.
As the rest of the team prepares to go to Nico’s home, Alex tells Chase that he has to do something else. Chase is a little suspicious. He decides to put up a camera system to keep an eye on the house while they are gone.
Alex visits Catherine because she is using his hacking IP address to lure him there. It sounds like she’s trying to blackmail him but she really wanted to get his attention. Catherine tries to make amends with her son, but Alex reaffirms that he isn’t interested in a relationship with his parents.
The rest of the team finds the inhibitors pretty quickly at the Minoru house. Nico sees a photo of her mother with Morgan. Robert (James Yaegashi) sees Nico and calls out to her. Nico apologizes for hurting him, but he knows she only did what she needed to. He forgives her, but Nico can’t stay. When she leaves, Robert transforms into a crow. And the photo of Tina and Morgan transforms to a photo of Robert and Tina on their wedding day.
Catherine goes back to her cell where several women are waiting for her. One of them says Tamar says hello and they attack Catherine, while the guards look the other way.
On the way back, Gert decides not to wait to test for alien possession. She makes the group gather in a park. One by one, they hold the inhibitors. Karolina is the only one affected, meaning none of them are aliens. That leaves Leslie and Alex to test.
Alex gets back to the mansion when Geoffrey calls him. He tells Alex that his mother is dead. Alex drops the phone and heads upstairs. He wakes up Leslie to tell her that something terrible has happened.
The rest of the kids and Xavin return to the mansion. Alex and Leslie are gone though. Chase reveals his security cameras and they watch footage of Alex getting the news about his mother. After he dropped the phone, Alex begins to smile. They see Alex go to Leslie’s bedside. He places his hand above her belly and emits a light. Alex is the fourth alien. When he wakes up Leslie, he says Victor found out about her baby and they have to leave.
Alex calls Victor from a donut shop payphone to reveal himself. He says he likes Earth and doesn’t want to leave. But he has something that Victor will be very interested in. He smiles and waves at Leslie in the car.
