Now that Marvel’s Runaways revealed where everyone is, it’s time to put the team back together in “The Great Escape.”

Nico (Lyrica Okano) and Alex (Rhenzy Feliz) are in the server room at the Stein house with the abstract and instructions on how to save their friends. Victor (James Marsters) senses that something is wrong, forcing Nico to use her powers to shield her and Alex from being discovered.
Molly (Allegra Acosta) and Xavin (Clarissa Thibeaux) make it to the Stein house. They quickly encounter Victor and Tina (Brittany Ishibashi). Tina told Victor that her mother knows about Karolina. Victor wants to leave Stacey (Brigid Brannagh) behind and replace her with Karolina when they leave Earth. Tina agrees, but only if Victor names her as his successor.
Gert (Ariela Barer) and Dale (Kevin Weisman) prepare to leave the cabin when Stacey…the real Stacey shows up. She wants to warn them about the Magistrate’s family plan to leave this world. When they leave, a clean up crew will arrive to kill anyone the family came in contact with. She is about to tell them how to defeat the royal family with the Gibborim takes over.
Alien Stacey attacks Dale and Gert, but Old Lace is there to save the day. Old Lace knocks out evil Stacey, giving Dale and Gert enough time to get away. Gert texts Molly to let her know that she’s on her way home with Old Lace.
Tina leaves to work on a platform that will get them home, using Wizard technology. Molly and Xavin are hiding in the back of Tina’s car. When they get to Wizard, Xavin poses at Tina so they can steal the car and return to the Steins.
Alex and Nico come out of hiding. Alex tries to open the algorithm door while Nico faces off with Victor. Nico starts to turn dark while facing Victor. She hears Morgan’s (Elizabeth Hurley) voice telling her to let the darkness in. She freaks out a little and drops the staff. Victor picks it up and runs.
With Nico preoccuping Victor, Chase (Gregg Sulkin), Karolina (Virginia Gardner), and Janet (Ever Carradine) are forced to find another way out. Victor knows there is something happening and cuts off the oxygen to Chase’s pod. Karolina is able to use her Gibborim powers to save Chase, but almost tears herself apart doing so.
Nico catches up to Victor and demands the staff, but Victor destroys it. Molly, Xavin, Gert and Old Lace show up to help Nico. The Runaways push Victor back and trap him in inhibitors. Victor is injured but not dead.
Janet and Alex crack the code, releaseing Karolina into the real world. Janet tells Chase to go on, she’s staying in the algorithm. Chase doesn’t want to leave her behind, but she’s content with her decision to stay. Besides, her physical body has died but her consciousness will live on in the algorithm. Chase says goodbye to his mother. RIP Janet Stein.
The Runaways return to the hostel and discuss whether or not they can trust Chase. Molly and Karolina defend Chase, while Gert and Alex remain suspicious. They decide to let him stay for one night. Xavin questions whether or not Nico is the fourth alien. Nico has been questioning that herself and they both agree that Karolina is not safe with Nico.
