Lex Luthor was a controversial figure in Batman v Superman. Love him or hate him, he made a huge impact on the film. So it’s not really surprising that his character would be cut from the giant superhero film. In a Q&A with Batman-on-Film, it was revealed that Lex may not be in the film.
We’ve heard mention of Luthor, briefly mentioned in a radio broadcast in the latest Justice League trailer. But that may be the most we have of the villain. When asked how large of a role Luthor will have in the upcoming film, BOF answered simply.
He doesn’t have one. If he did prior to all the changes/reshoots, it was cut.
This is obviously not an official confirmation. But would be interesting. Frankly, I think the film will be better for it. We already have 3 other main characters to establish, villains Steppenwolf and Parademons, the Amazons, and more! This film will already be filled to the gills. We deserve a break from the craziness known as Lex Luthor, at least for one film.
