Rosalind Chao to Narrate THE THREE-BODY PROBLEM Audiobook

Macmillan Audio has announced that Rosalind Chao will narrate a new version of The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu. This is especially exciting, as Chao will also appear in the upcoming Netflix adaptation of the novel 3 Body Problem. Luke Daniels narrated a previous version of the audiobook.

The Three-Body Problem

The Three-Body Problem is a prose science-fiction novel, the first in Liu’s Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy. It tells the tale of an attempt to make first contact with extraterrestrials, which leads to an impending alien invasion. In response, humanity begins to split into factions, with some welcoming their new alien overlords and others preparing to resist their planetary occupation.

Trekkies may best recognize Chao from the role of Keiko O’Brien (née Ishikawa). The beloved character first appeared in a recurring role on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Then, her role was further expanded by even more appearances on the show’s first spin-off, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. And of course, Chao’s career expands far beyond the borders of the Star Trek Franchise, including appearances in many other shows and movies.

Chao will appear in Netflix’s 3 Body Problem alongside a star-studded cast. They include Jovan Adepo, John Bradley, Liam Cunningham, Eiza González, Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Alex Sharp, Sea Shimooka, Zine Tseng, Saamer Usmani, Benedict Wong and Jonathan Pryce. The series is co-created, written and executive produced by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (Game of Thrones) and Alexander Woo (True Blood).
