For All Mankind is a new series from Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) coming to Apple TV+ that poses the question, “What would have happened if the global space race had never ended?”

The official trailer for the series was released today and sheds light on what the series is about. For All Mankind is an alternate history show that has Russia landing on the moon first. Newspapers call it ‘Red Moon’. America’s spirit is crushed. How can they renew America’s confidence and get ahead in the space race after this devastating loss? By having NASA put the first woman on the moon. The only problem is, there is no female astronaut training program. Until now.

The trailer shows the tense moment when America finds out about the Soviet moon landing and the decision to get a woman in space. The story is told through the lives of NASA’s astronauts, engineers and their families. With Moore at the helm of this series, it’s sure to be intense and beautiful.

For All Mankind premieres on Apple TV+ on November 1st and stars Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Wrenn Schmidt, Shantel VanSanten, Sarah Jones and Jodi Balfour. Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, Matt Wolpert, Ben Nedivi serve as executive producers.
