Robert Patrick and Okea Eme-Akwari join the cast of The Walking Dead  in two new roles for the extended season 10 episodes. The new episodes will air in February 2021.

Patrick will play Mays in episode 1019, “One More.” TWD featured Patrick in a video table read with Ross Marquand, Seth Gilliam and Josh McDermitt on the show’s YouTube channel. From the video, it sounds like he’s not too happy to meet Gabriel. THR also released part of the script that reveals that Mays and Gabriel are on different sides of the fence when it comes to religion in the apocalypse.

Eme-Akwari will play Elijah, the mysterious masked man that accompanies Maggie (Lauren Cohan) in the season 10 finale. The TWD Twitter page revealed Eme-Akwari’s casting earlier today. That clears up that mystery. TWD YouTube has a video of a table read for episode 1017, “Home Sweet Home,” where Maggie first mentions Elijah. Now we can put a name to the … face … mask.

That’s three new characters. As previously reported, Hilarie Burton joins the cast opposite of her real life husband, Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Burton will play the human version of Lucille, Negan’s wife, in episode 1022, “Here’s Negan!” That is also the title of the spin off comic, featuring Negan’s backstory.

You can watch the two TWD table reads below.

The Walking Dead returns on Sunday, February 28, 2021 on AMC.
