What can’t Robert Downey Jr. do? Honestly. According to Variety, RDJ has been cast as Doctor Dolittle in The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, a new adaptation. In addition to kicking ass in mech suits, he’ll now be able to talk to animals.

The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle is the latest adaption by Universal Studios. While not much is known about the project at this time, we do know that we have a crew ready to go. Stephen Gaghan is set to direct the film from his own screenplay. He’s best known for his screenplay for Steven Soderbergh’s TrafficJoe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum are set to produce alongside Susan Downey. This will be the 4th movie portraying the unusual doctor.

Not much is known about the production outside of this casting news. It’s great to see RDJ taking on other projects despite being heavy in the MCU. Speaking of the MCU. You’ll next be able to see RDJ in Spider-Man: Homecoming and he’s currently in production on Avengers: Infinity War. He’s a busy man!
