android screaming in HBO Max Ridley Scott's Raised by Wolves

Ridley Scott is back with his television directorial debut for American audiences, Raised by Wolves. I just watched the trailer for the new HBO Max science fiction series and my head is spinning. I don’t quite understand what I watched but I want. Now. Thankfully, it premieres in less than a month on September 3rd.

Raised by Wolves centers on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.

The trailer is absolutely wild. Earth has been destroyed by a great war and there is a new planet for humanity, but this new planet holds many horrors. There are impressive visual effects throughout. We see the android called Mother (Amanda Collin) with her human children that she is raising. She shares the tale of The Three Little Pigs in the creepiest possible fashion. We continue to hear the tale during the entire trailer. We also see a very intimidating Travis Fimmel as Marcus appear during the “Big Bad Wolf” part of the tale. He is possibly a soldier of some kind. As the trailer continues, there’s just all manner of fabulous creepiness.

The cast also includes Abubakar SalimWinta McGrathNiamh AlgarJordan LoughranMatias VarelaFelix JamiesonEthan Hazzard, Aasiya Shah and Ivy Wong.

Get your wits about you and check out the trailer and poster below. Raised by Wolves will easily become your most anticipated new series.

Mother was programmed to protect everyone after Earth had been destroyed. When the big bad wolf shows up, she is the one we must trust.
