We have a new premiere date for the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series! Author Rick Riordan shared an update on his blog; read on for his full quote!
Riordan updated his blog earlier today with some notes about production on the Percy Jackson series. The author is also an executive producer and is heavily involved with the project. He wrote about his travels to and from the set in Vancouver and the talented young actors, including a few pictures. Most importantly, however, he gave his best estimate of when the series will air on Disney Plus.

“We are on track with our schedule, and everything is going according to plan…It’s probably going to take us through December or into January to film all the episodes of season one, which is roughly one month of filming per episode…That means post-production will begin in early 2023…Given all this, I think the most likely air date will probably be early 2024.”
The author went on to add, “We spent two and a half years working behind the scenes just to get this show off the ground, and I’ve been waiting over fifteen years for a proper adaptation, so I think we can wait a little longer if it means getting the quality show we will be proud of.” If it means getting a fantastic Percy Jackson adaptation, I’m sure fans will be okay with the wait.
The Percy Jackson series will star Walker Scobell as Percy alongside Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood and Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase. Additional cast members include Jason Mantzoukas, Dior Goodjohn and Megan Mullally.
