What is better than one new trailer for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City? Two new trailers! We got our first glimpse at Johannes Roberts‘ reboot on Thursday with the domestic trailer and today, the international one dropped. And if you still had any skepticism about this upcoming zombie horror film – this clears that up. Roberts has pledged to stay as close to the lore and story of the first two Resident Evil games as possible but still giving viewers a fresh look at the story.

The international trailer for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City really nails home the nostalgia for longtime fans with more looks at RPD, Spencer Mansion, the zombie-filled streets of Raccoon City and much more. One notably change, though, is Claire’s (Kaya Scodelario) return home. In the game, she is searching for her brother Chris (Robbie Amell) but doesn’t come into contact with him until much later. However, the trailer shows the siblings split apart, both heading towards the locations seen within the game. I am curious what other changes will come when the film releases.

But aside from that, this trailer looks like everything a Resident Evil film should be. Evil Umbrella Company? Check! Zombies? Check! Utter terror for all of those involved? Double-check! This trailer also gives up more looks at Leon S. Kennedy (Avan Jogia), Jill Valentine (Hannah John-Kamen) and Chief Irons (Donal Logue). I am also delighted with the special effects we have seen in these trailers as well. The zombies look like they were pulled right from the games. Not overly comical and messy. I have an excellent feeling that Johannes Roberts’ Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will scare me as much as the games do.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City drops into theaters on November 24, 2021. Keep an eye on their website for more news on where you can find tickets! If you are a fan of video games and have yet to check these out, I highly suggest doing so first. Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2 rank extremely high on my list and are the best places to start in the franchise. We have also dropped the international trailer down below for you to enjoy, along with another movie poster! What are you most excited to see in this film?
