Netflix is here to fuel my horror-loving heart today! They dropped a brand new trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness series. This one gives us so much more. More story, more characters, more bioweapons! The series brings Leon (voiced by Nick Apostolides) and Claire (voiced by Stephanie Panisello) back together as they investigate another outbreak. The series takes place in 2006, placing in between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5.

The Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness trailer also introduces a few new characters to the franchise. This includes Leon’s team with Jason (voiced by Ray Chase), a member of the U.S. special forces and hero of the Penamstan civil war, Shen May (voiced by Jona Xiao), a federal agent skilled in computer science and Patrick (voiced by Billy Kametz) a rookie U.S. agent. After a hacking incident, they are brought to the White House to investigate. Things turn rough and before they know it turns into a full-blown zombie attack. Now the team must uncover who is responsible.

But they aren’t the only ones investigating. Claire, who is currently working for TerraSave, is stationed in Penamstan when she uncovers a boy’s drawing the depicts a victim of a viral infection. She goes on her own investigation that brings her back to Leon and the others. It seems like everything is pointing back to Penamstan civil war and the horrors that went into starting it. This is really looking to be my new favorite horror series.

The best part of this is that Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will release on July 8, 2021, and can be watched here! We dropped the trailer before for you to enjoy! Are you excited about this new series? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
