We are back with more news surrounding Netflix’s upcoming animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. During day four of Geeked Week, we got the chance to see the first few minutes of the opening scene and a rewatch of the trailer! It has become pretty clear that Resident Evil is having the best year and this just continues to make it better!

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness follows Leon S. Kennedy (Nick Apostolides) as he investigates a hacking incident at the White House along with his crew. Things get horrifying quickly as the attack turns into a full-blown zombie attack. Leon isn’t the only one investigating, though. Claire (Stephanie Panisello), who is currently working for TerraSave, is doing some digging on her own after uncovering a young boy’s picture of a victim of a viral infection.

The clip for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is intense as a military operation is underway. Things go wrong and we see a group of rogue soldiers refusing to leave their allies behind and ignoring orders. The impromptu mission isn’t easy and from the moment boots hit the ground, things are tense. Hostiles surround them and the clip comes to an end with a giant grenade blast.

This looks so freaking amazing. I am a long-time fan of Resident Evil (if you couldn’t tell) and have been rebinging the animated films in preparation for this. And we don’t have long to wait! The series is set to launch on Netflix starting July 8, 2021! So add it to your must-watch list here!
