If you haven’t figured it out by now, I am a huge fan of the Resident Evil franchise, whether it be the books, shows, animated films, novels and pretty much everything, honestly. So I have been keeping a very close eye on Netflix’s upcoming series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. Yesterday they dropped the trailer in Japanese and announced the Japanese cast along with brand new images!

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness follows Leon S. Kennedy as he investigates a hacking incident at the White House along with his crew. Things get horrifying quickly as the attack turns into a full-blown zombie attack. Leon isn’t the only one investigating, though. Claire, who is currently working for TerraSave, is doing some digging on her own after uncovering a young boy’s picture of a victim of a viral infection.

Seriously, how could you not be excited about this! The animated Resident Evil films have always held a special place in my heart. And it’s looking like this new Netflix series will have a special place in there, especially since it is bringing Leon and Claire back together! The brand new images really show off far CGI animation has come. Just look how far the rendering of Leon has come since the animated films.

The Japanese cast of Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness includes Toshiyuki Morikawa as Leon S. Kennedy, Yuko Kaida as Claire Redfield, Fumihiko Tachiki as Jason, Megumi Han as Shen May, Kenji Nojima as Patrick, Kazuhiko Inoue as Graham, Aruno Tahara as Wilson and Mitsuru Ogata as Ryan. The English dub cast includes Nick Apostolides as Leon S. Kennedy, Stephanie Panisello as Claire Redfield, Ray Chase as Jason, Jona Xiao as Shen May, Billy Kametz as Patrick, Joe J. Thomas as Graham, Doug Stone as Wilson and Brad Venable as Ryan.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will release on Netflix on July 8, 2021. Add it to your must-watch list here! Check out the images below! We are just one month away! How excited are you to dive into this series? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
