After the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo released at the beginning of this month, all eyes were on Capcom and the upcoming Resident Evil 3 Remake. With a release date less than a month away, fans of the horror survival franchise were questioning when they were going to be dropping their demo. Well, we finally have an announcement! Starting this Thursday, March 19, 2020, the beta will be available on PC through Steam, PS4 at 1 PM EST and the Xbox One at 12 AM EST.

The demo will put fans into the shoes of heroine Jill Valentine as she teams up with Carlos Oliveira. Players will be helping to evacuate citizens of Raccoon City while also attempting to escape the terrorizing Nemesis. For those who are able to complete the demo, they will be rewarded with a brand new cinematic trailer exclusive to the demo. But this isn’t the only thing the demo will be offering.

Players also have the chance to go on an epic Mr. Charlie scavenger hunt. Throughout Raccoon City, there are twenty Mr. Charlie statues that need to be found and destroyed. But it isn’t going to be easy (did you think it would be?), on your hunt you will be accompanied by Nemesis just following you about and wreaking havoc. Nothing like a fun game of hide and seek to get some in-game Nemesis dodging practice.

This isn’t the only news coming out of Capcom. The asymmetrical survival horror game, Resident Evil Resistance will begin open beta on March 27, 2020. Players will be able to either play on the survivor team with a four-man group or on the side of the villain. The beta opens for PS4 and Xbox One 3 AM EST and at 1 PM EST on PC through Steam and will end when the game releases. Check out the trailer here! Be mindful it contains mature content.

Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil Resistance will release on April 3, 2020 for PC through Steam, PS4 and Xbox One.
