It’s time to bust out the pizza and cue up the Law & Order reruns because Harry Vanderspeigle’s returning to Patience! On Friday, Syfy unveiled the official trailer for Resident Alien Season Two, and the stakes are higher than ever.

Judging by the trailer’s contents, it looks like Harry (Alan Tudyk) and Max (Judah Prehn) undergo a traumatic experience while aboard the former’s spaceship. Harry saves Max from something, so the young boy now considers our fave extraterrestrial as a father figure.

Harry suffers a head injury and enjoys a pleasant, quiet stay in the hospital after returning to Patience with Max. Ben (Levi Fiehler), Kate (Meredith Garretson) and other members of the town throw Harry a “Welcome Home” party. Of course, true to form, Harry promptly gives everyone the boot.

Meanwhile, Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) and Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen) stumble upon a conspiracy, and it seems to link to last season’s mystery with the severed foot in the lake. Liv believes they might be dealing with UFOs, but Mike shoots her down. We know she’s right, though, as usual.

Asta (Sara Tomko) encourages Harry to meet new people. Cue the entrance of Carlyn (Alex Borstein), someone just as awkward as Harry.

Linda Hamilton reprises her role as General Eleanor Wright (Is it me or was her name initially McCallister?), the show’s antagonist. We learn Harry’s home race plans to invade and destroy Earth since he failed to carry out his task. Our gang winds up in New York City, where more wacky antics surely unfurl.

I’m so excited to reunite with my favorite Patience residents! This show was a delightful surprise for me and a highlight of 2021.

Resident Alien Season Two premieres on Wednesday, January 26, only on Syfy. Watch the trailer below!
