Harry Vanderspeigle’s not done with Patience yet! Syfy revealed the Season Two premiere date for its critically lauded sci-fi comedy Resident Alien, and we’re more than ready for its return! This news is, vaguely in the words of Harry, not “some bulls**t.”

Along with the date, Syfy blessed us with an official poster featuring Alan Tudyk as the titular “resident alien.” We see Harry’s in his human form save for his hands, and he’s racing through the aisle of a supermarket with plenty of items to check out. You know, fans, plungers, water bottles — the usual stuff.

Harry also has several pizza boxes, and we all know that’s his favorite human food. His love for pizza essentially saves humankind.

We last left Harry as he departed Earth after saying goodbye to his best friend Asta (Sara Tomko) and vowing not to destroy the world. He spots a stowaway on his ship as he heads home: Max (Judah Prehn), his most fearsome rival!

Season One wrapped loose ends while presenting new questions for us to ponder: How will Harry resume his human form if he burned the real Harry Vanderspeigle’s body? Will Lisa make good on her promise to kill David? What about Ethan undergoing interrogation?

Season Two brings Alex Borstein into the fold as Carlyn, a socially awkward lab worker who develops a crush on Harry. This Deadline article reveals a bit more regarding Season Two’s plot:

Harry is once again stranded on Earth where he must confront the consequences of having failed his people’s mission to destroy the human race. On his new quest to protect the people of Earth, Harry struggles to hold on to his alien identity as his human emotions grow stronger by the day.

I, for one, am stoked for more Resident Alien! Bring it on! This show took me by surprise with its unexpected heart and biting humor.

Get ready for more Law & Order references when Resident Alien returns for Season Two on Wednesday, January 26, on Syfy.
