It’s Bingo Friday on Reservation Dogs! In “Friday,” the kids face the consequences for going to California and worrying their parents. Things are back to normal in Okern. The kids are back and now it’s time for new adventures. Everyone is at the IHS clinic for Bingo Friday. Clinton (Warren Queton) returns to call the numbers and tells some bad jokes. Rita (Sarah Podemski) is assisting, but leaves to take care of some business.
Bear (D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai), Elora Danan (Devery Jacobs), Cheese (Lane Factor), Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis), and Jackie (Elva Guerra) line up in front of the parents. Leon (Jon Proudstar), Bev (Jana Schmieding) and Rita are happy to have the kids home, but they are very mad that they ran away. So they will be punished with chores. Even Jackie is punished. She didn’t even go to California. Bev justifies it saying Jackie “probably caused” the others to run away. Elora is on trash duty; Bear and Jackie have to sweep the clinic; Willie Jack and Cheese have to clean off the profane graffiti they created on the outside of the clinic.
Willie Jack and Cheese
Old Man Fixico (Richard Ray Whitman) stands outside the clinic, looking up at the sky. Big (Zahn McClarnon) joins him, wondering what he’s looking at. Fixico says it’s going to rain soon, but the skies are cloudless. Big thinks his radar is off and he goes inside the clinic. Willie Jack and Cheese come out to clean. Actually Cheese cleans and Willie Jack supervises. She notices Fixico looking at the sky. He tells her that rain is coming … metaphoric rain

Mekko (Funny Bone) and Mose (Lil Mike) walk up and ask for something to ward off the online haters. He gives them a bag and tells them to rub it all over their bodies. Willie Jack asks how Old Man Fixico knows what to give them. He doesn’t. He says Mekko and Mose are always asking for something. Fixico just gives them stinkweed every time.
Cheese says he’s done, but the graffiti is still on the wall. Willie Jack asks if he can’t see it and he says it looks clean to him. She says he needs glasses. Cheese says he ordered glasses, but he never got them in the mail. Willie Jack informs him that he’s supposed to pick up his glasses at the IHS eye clinic. Cheese heads inside to get his new glasses.
Elora Danan

Leon checks on Elora Danan and asks if they had fun in California. She says it was quite an adventure but she’s glad they got to do something for Daniel. Leon understands and says he’s grounding Willie Jack until she hits menopause. Leon is glad they went. He says it’s what they were supposed to do.

They head to the break room as Leon compares the clinic to a starship and he’s the captain. He says the place would fall apart without him. But it means he can’t ever leave without a successor. Leon thinks Elora Danan should be his successor. She laughs at him, saying she’s busy. She admits that she’s thinking about going to school. Leon has a solution for that. He suggests that Elora go to Okern Community College during the day and work for him at night. And he shows her the benefits of the job. The keys to the vending machines! Leon opens up a vending machine and hands her a bag of Flaming Flamers. They sit in the break room, eating chips and drinking sodas.
Big isn’t just hanging about at the clinic. He actually has an appointment. He sits in his curtained room, watching conspiracy videos. Bev walks by, hearing him talking to himself. She pulls back the curtain and yells his name. He rolls over to look at her and reveals that he’s not wearing any pants … or underwear. Bev smiles and walks away while he yells at her.
Bear and Jackie
Bear and Jackie are sweeping the floors in the waiting room., where Bingo is happening. They talk about Bear’s adventure with Deer Lady. He tries to make it sound like a romantic getaway and Jackie doesn’t believe him. Bear gets a little upset that she doesn’t believe him. To convince her, he says he might also be an accessory to murder. He also tells her that the craziest part of the trip was star people, eggplants and he met a conquistador. Jackie says Bear is crazy and he should be glad no one can hear him talking about star people. They start bickering about who’s going to clean. Rita and Bev continue to watch. The more they watch, the more worried Rita gets. Bev consoles her by saying she will take the baby on the weekends.

Bev watches from her desk. Rita walks up and Bev tells her to get ready to be a grandma. Rita looks up and sees Bear and Jackie laughing together. She says they are just friends and she’s too young to be a grandma. Bev says her grandma was younger than Rita. Rita and Bev continue to watch. The more they watch, the more worried Rita gets. Bev consoles her by saying she will take the baby on the weekends.
White Steve (Jack Maricle) bingos! He wins an IHS T-shirt. Bev is annoyed, yelling that the kid isn’t even a patient. White Steve puts on the shirt and Bev yells that his people have taken enough. Clinton calls White Steve a true bingo warrior and uses a dauber to give him war paint. He gives the kid an NDN name: Sour Sofke. Bone Thug Dog (Jude Barnett) and Weeze (Xavier Bigpond) tell him that he looks pretty. This make White Steve feel different.

Seeing Clearer
Cheese enters the eye clinic and Natalie (Natalie Standingcloud) is filming a video for her social media account. As soon as she sees Cheese, she makes him film her dancing, then she helps him. First she wants to know about California. Cheese says it was good. They got their car stolen, met White Jesus, and saw the ocean. And he’s glad to be home. Natalie gives him the glasses and he is amazed by how well he sees when he puts them on. Cheese grabs chocolates before leaving the eye clinic.
Elora cleans the registration desk and around it. Big walks up to make a new appointment and says he felt violated when Bev opened his curtain. Bev complements him on his manhood and the two adults start flirting. Elora is grossed out, but pretends she didn’t hear them. Big leaves and Bev says Elora could learn some important teachings by listening to them. She asks if Elora learned her lesson about running away. Elora reminds her that she’s 18 and can go to California anytime she wants.
Elora asks Bev for a copy of her medical records. Bev looks at her crazy, so Elora explains that she’s thinking of going to school. Bev asks what she wants to study. Elora isn’t exactly sure, possibly Psychology. That checks out for Bev who calls Elora a master manipulator. She tells Elora to pick up her records down the hall. When Elora gets the envelope, she finds her birth certificate. Under Father, she sees the name Rick Miller.

Learned Lessons

Willie Jack gets food for Old Man Fixico. He takes a moment to cherish his food and says he’s going to miss meat pies. Willie Jack asks where he’s going. He says he’s going soon to the happy hunting ground. She wonders who’s going to doctor people when he’s gone. He’s not sure because he doesn’t have anyone to pass his medicine knowledge to. Willie Jack says she’s interested in learning about medicine. Old Man Fixico reminds her that it’s real medicine and she has to be serious. She says she’s the most serious, when she wants to be.
Old Man Fixico tells her to ask him three more times. She asks immediately. Fixico anoints her as a joke. After he laughs, he agrees to teach Willie Jack about medicine. For now. She has to sit next to him and not ask any questions. When the time is right, he says he will let her know.
Cheese finds Elora Danan and asks if he looks weird. She says he looks different, but handsome. Cheese has mixed feelings about his feelings. They go outside to meet up with the others. Bear and Jackie are outside and ask Willie Jack to go with them to get food. Fixico gives her the okay to leave. When Cheese comes out, everyone reacts to his glasses. They all like the look, but make fun of him anyway. The five friends leave for Sonics. It’s just another Friday.
