Glass

Universal has released the latest trailer for the M. Night Shyamalan mash up, Glass, starring Bruce Willis, James McAvoy and Samuel L. Jackson and whew! We’re in for quite a ride.

In 2000, Shyamalan’s Unbreakable introduced us to Willis’ David Dunn, an indestructible man and his opposite, Elijah Price, aka Mr. Glass played by Jackson. In 2016′ s Split, we met Kevin Wendell Crumb and all of his personalities, brilliantly portrayed by McAvoy. In Glass, Dr. Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson) brings them all together to study why they believe they have super human abilities. That’s because they do. And it appears as if Mr. Glass has some tricks up his sleeve.

Price is intrigued by the Beast, one of Crumb’s many and most dangerous personalities. Dr. Staple has figured out a way to bring forth Crumb different personalities with light. So in an elaborate scheme, Mr. Glass uses Dr. Staple’s technique to bring forth the Beast and escape with him. Dunn is familiar with Crumb as well. He knows what the Beast is capable of and must convince Dr. Staple to let him out to stop Crumb. If the movie is anything like Split, things will get really creepy when Price and Crumb escape.

I’m am so excited about this movie. Not only because it is a sequel for both Unbreakable and Split, but primarily because of McAvoy. His portrayal of each of Crumb’s personalities is amazing! That alone is reason enough to see this film. And you know Jackson is going to be brilliant. I’m very interested to see what his master plan is and if Willis can stop them.

Watch the new trailer below.

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

Glass premieres on January 18, 2019!
