Star Wars Celebration is upon us! The annual gathering happens in Anaheim and could you be more excited? It’s gonna be awesome. That is, if you have the dough. A one day child’s pass is $35.
Or, you could celebrate your Star Wars love at a free curated exhibit of conceptual artist Ralph McQuarrie. The show premiered April 12 at my beloved Creature Features in Burbank and will run through Sunday April 26.
You may have seen his Chewbacca conceptual art. But have you seen his Michael Jackson Pepsi ad conceptual art? You can see it here. His one and only contribution to Raiders of the Lost Ark makes the visit worthwhile. There’s additional art from Batteries Not Included, Cocoon and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.

I’ve written about Creature Features before, and mentioned the remarkable block in Burbank where they’re located. I can’t sing enough praises. Take an afternoon to cruise the vintage shops, Visit CF and also stop by Dark Delicacies if you’re a horror buff. Both places have book signings and etc, on the reg.
And it’s pretty close to Jump Cut Cafe where you can end your day with a delicious snack.
