X-Files first episode ever was the year that graduated college. Yep, that’s how long this ol’ body has been around. I watched it every Friday night without fail and then realized I was a stereotype when Bare Naked Ladies released that earworm of a song ‘One Week’  which had the lyrics:

Watchin’ X-Files with no lights on
We’re dans la maison
I hope the Smoking Man’s in this one

Because that’s what I did every frakking episode! Every. One. Now I get to do all over again! Fox just announced the premiere date for the 6-episode X-files event series (If you don’t know what “event series” means, you should. It’s the term that’s getting all kinds of play. It’s basically another, more exciting way to say mini-series).

The show will premiere Sunday night January 24, 2016 at 10 PM and the second episode will be aired the very next day, Monday, January 25 at 8 PM. Mondays will be the regular time slot for the remaining 4 episodes.

Fox had this to say about bringing X-Files back to the small screen: The thrilling, six-episode event series, helmed by creator/executive producer Chris Carter and starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as FBI Agents FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY, marks the momentous return of the Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning pop culture phenomenon, which remains one of the longest-running sci-fi series in network television history.

YAY! And don’t forget, TRUST NO ONE!
