Cartoon Network announced today that they are bringing back The Powerpuff Girls. The Emmy-winning show that ran from 1998-2005, is slated to return in 2016. The Powerpuff Girls has been one of the biggest money makers ever for Cartoon Network.

The Powerpuff Girls is about the adventures Buttercup, Blossom and Bubbles as they save the city of Townsville from destruction. They were create by Professor Utonium when he accidentally mixed Chemical X with sugar, spice and everything nice.
