Poker Face Season 2 … FINALLY
When last we saw Charlie Cale (Natasha Lyonne), she was on the run again, having now made an enemy of mob queenpin Beatrix Hasp (Rhea Perlman). Funny how she traded one Perlman (Ron, who played her former boss Sterling) for another.

The first official trailer for Poker Face Season 2 dropped today, revealing just some of the amazing guest stars lined up for the 12-episode sophomore season. As previously announced, both Taylor Schilling and Adrienne C. Moore, Lyonne’s former Orange is the New Black castmates, will appear as guest stars. From the shot of Schilling in the trailer, we can deduce from her FBI jacket that she gets to work the other side of the legal system this time out. Perhaps she is partnered with Mulaney, who also appears in FBI gear.
Another insider-paired casting is Melanie Lynskey and Jason Ritter, actors who are married in real life. Then, of course, there are iconic stars of film and television like Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Holmes and Kumail Nanjiani. Nanjiani, in particular, sports a novel look in the trailer. Finally, watch for music-to-screen crossover talents like Awkwafina and Method Man.

Season 2 promises even more bonkers adventures as Charlie careens through life, calling out BS as she goes. The trailer provides glimpses into shenanigans involving coffins, shoot-outs and a LOT of explosions. Seriously, the pyro-effects budget looks off the hook. Early images released also imply visits to fancy homes, at least one baseball game and … a Walmart?
