Poker Face Season 2
It’s been over two years since Poker Face, Rian Johnson’s twisted throwback to episodic mystery series, introduced the world to Charlie Cale (Natasha Lyonne), the living-life-in-the-moment human lie detector. Of course, Johnson snuck her into Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery the year before as a player in Benoit Blanc’s (Daniel Craig) online Among Us game, cheeky sneak that he is. Like the old Columbo specials, each episode involved a celebrity guest star (or three). Season 1 treated us to fabulous folks like Adrien Brody, Jameela Jamil, Judith Light and Tim Meadows.

So far, Poker Face has signed a magnificent roster of guest stars for its sophomore season. Most recently, they’ve added Geraldine Viswanathan, Adrienne C. Moore and Taylor Schilling to the esteemed list. They join the likes of Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Holmes, Kumail Nanjiani, Cynthia Erivo, BJ Novak, Margo Martindale, John Mulaney, Awkwafina, Haley Joel Osment, John Cho, Jason Ritter, Carol Kane, David Krumholtz and Melanie Lynskey. Seriously, that’s not even half of the guest stars confirmed for Season 2.

Who Are These New Additions?
Geraldine Viswanathan most recently featured in You’re Cordially Invited as star Will Ferrell’s character’s daughter, Jenni. Having gotten her breakout role in the 2018 film Blockers, the Australian actress will punch her ticket to the MCU this summer in Thunderbolts*. She portrays Mel, personal assistant to Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). On the small screen, she impressed audiences with her various roles alongside Daniel Radcliffe in four seasons of the anthological TBS series Miracle Workers.

Adrienne C. Moore recently starred in the CBC/Amazon Freevee-produced series Pretty Hard Cases. As streetwise narcotics detective Kelly Duff, she solved cases in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, partnered with a by-the-books guns and gangs detective, Sam Wazowski (Meredith MacNeill). Fun fact: the series was originally titled Lady Dicks.

Taylor Schilling is probably still best known for playing Piper Chapman (second from the left in the photo above) on Orange is the New Black, alongside Moore (on the left, in the role of Cindy Hayes) and Poker Face star Natasha Lyonne (right, portraying Nicky Nichols). This OITNB reunion should be a riot, especially if Charlie happens to be solving a crime in a prison. A riot … get it?

With the release of Poker Face Season 2 imminent, how many more actors might sign onto this fun and frenetic production? Is there a chance of a cheerleader-themed episode? Could we get a Russian Doll reunion, too? Rumored to be a 12-episode season, what does Rian Johnson have in store for us?
