No joke, no hyperbole, not even kidding in any way — this news is almost as exciting as seeing the film itself. The playlist for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 was announced this morning via Marvel’s UK & Ireland twitter. Not only that, but it will be available for download as of this Friday!

There are a couple songs we expected, like Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain and Fox on the Run by Sweet because we’ve heard them in the trailers. However, there are a couple songs that stand out like Wham Bam Shang-a-Lang by Silver and Flash Light by Parliament. And maybe, just maybe, there’s one that’s a little too on the nose — Cat Steven’s Father and Son, though it’s entirely possible that they’ll surprise us with that one and use it in a completely different way than seeing Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) reuniting with his father, Ego (Kurt Russell) or having a special moment with him.

Also, can we just say that Brandy by Looking Glass might be the best song ever for Star-Lord and Gamora to dance to. But in this instance, the gender roles are reversed: Star-Lord is a fine man, but Gamora’s life, lover and lad is being the most dangerous woman in the universe and hunting down Thanos and being a bad ass space assassin… right?

Also, ALSO — how’s this for a surprise — David Hasselhoff is on the album in a song made for the film because, as James Gunn tells The Rolling Stone, Hasselhoff is one of Quill’s childhood heroes.
