4 Places We Want to Visit in the STAR WARS Universe

There is a plethora of incredible locations in the Star Wars universe. Beautiful planets, vibrant cantinas, forests, deserts, markets and cities all make up the intense world contained within one of fiction’s most expansive franchises. Each location is fascinating in its way. While it is quite difficult to narrow down the list of coolest spots, here are four places at the top of our list of that we want to visit in the Star Wars universe.

Endor

Endor is the home of the Ewoks. It is covered by a lush forest, and although it is often called a planet, it is a moon. Oddly, the planet the moon orbits is also called Endor. Tragically, fans were left to assume that the Ewoks perished and their moon destroyed at the end of Return of the Jedi. Some fans regained hope that they survived after a clip from the Rise of Skywalker trailer showed a piece of the Death Star II falling to one of Endor’s neighboring moons. However, astrophysicist Sean Raymond believes the Ewok’s home would have still been demolished.

Sadly, a time machine would be necessary to visit the beautiful forested moon and its inhabitants. Regardless, if it were possible, Endor would make an incredible vacation destination. Imagine camping in the verdant forests, brewing coffee over an open fire and encountering the Ewoks. Sounds like an adventure. Also, it is the gravesite of the infamous Darth Vader. Hello, day trip.

Pillio

Pillio is an oceanic world filled with coral with an enormous coral reef that spans the entire planet. It is home to a multitude of species. Even though it is inhabited by many different sea creatures, it is an uncolonized expanse. The ocean life provides the primary food source for the Jinata System. Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) spent time on the planet after feeling an intense call to Pillio.

While an ocean planet may not seem like the best place to visit, imagine the incredible sights and experiences that await. The beautiful coral reef, the many creatures living in the water, the cave system. You could spend infinite amounts of time diving, snorkeling, and generally exploring without seeing everything Pillio has to offer. Of course, you may end up in the middle of the feud between the Mon Calamari and Nautolan fishing companies. That just adds to the fun!

Kashyyyk

Kashyyyk is the homeworld of the Wookiees. It is jungle-like with its dense forests, oceans and swamps. This planet holds significance in the Star Wars universe as being the location for one of the last battles of the Clone Wars. The Jedi, led by Master Yoda, fought until the Emporer issued Order 66, instructing the clones to slaughter all Jedi.

This planet would be incredibly fun to visit. Not only would you get to meet some Wookiees, but there is also all manner of sights to see. The terrain itself creates mass possibilities for fun and adventure. There are beaches and forests, even a small desert area. So many possibilities, so little time.

Yavin IV

Yavin IV is a moon covered by a jungle canopy. This moon has incredible significance in the history of the Star Wars universe. For example, the Great Temple located on Yavin once served as the headquarters of the Rebel Alliance. The Civilian Defence Force was founded on Yarvin IV. The list goes on and on. Grenade fungi, climbing ferns, bioluminescent orchids and Massassi Trees with their purple bark are among the flora found in Yarvin’s jungles and rain forests.

Can you imagine foraging on Yavin IV? So many beautiful flowers, trees, bushes and fungi to peruse! The beauty alone is enough to warrant a visit to this location. Not to mention all of the historical sites to visit and pay homage to. Whether you take a day trip or a week-long stay, there are endless possibilities for excitement.
