We have our first look at the post-Endgame MCU in the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer. Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is alive and ready to embark on a much needed vacation that quickly turns into work.
The first thing to note from the trailer is that Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) is fully aware of Peter’s side gig as Spider-Man. And she approves. Maybe it has something to do with getting to see Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) from time to time.
Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) shows up on Peter’s European vacation. An Avenger is never really off duty, as he reminds Peter. A few of some not-so friendly villains show up to threaten Peter’s friends. This is the part where you think Peter will suit up and save the day, but NO! It’s Jake Gyllenhaal, dressed like a gladiator. We know he is playing Mysterio and he’s actually saving the day in this clip.
For now this is all of the information we get out of this trailer. I’m sure the fanboys are already hard at work trying to find the small details out. Like, how long after Endgame does story take place? Until then, watch the first look at Spider-Man: Far From Home below.
Peter Parker and his friends go on summer vacation to Europe, where Peter finds himself trying to save his friends against a villain known as Mysterio.
Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters on July 5, 2019.
