The cast of Dexter: Resurrection is growing again, with the exciting addition of Peter Dinklage as a series regular. Read on to find out what else we know about the spinoff.

Into the Dexter-Verse
As the third spinoff in the Dexter universe, Resurrection has big shoes to fill. The original series premiered in 2006, running for eight seasons and breaking viewership records. Since then, two spinoffs have aired so far. Hall reprised the role in Dexter: New Blood, a 10-episode miniseries that aired in 2021 and picked up where the original left off. Dexter: Original Sin, on the other hand, is an ongoing prequel that began in December 2024 and features a mostly new cast. That series will air its Season 1 finale on February 14.
A few returning characters from the original series have already been announced. David Zayas is reprising his role as Detective Angel Batista, along with James Remar, who plays Dexter’s father, Harry Morgan, and Jack Alcott as Dexter’s son, Harrison.

Peter Dinklage
Most recently seen in Wicked: Part One, Dinklage is probably best known for his role as Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones. You can also spot him in recent film projects, including Brothers and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. According to Deadline, Dinklage plays “Leon Prater, a billionaire venture capitalist. To the world, Leon is a generous philanthropist, but behind his polished exterior lies dark intrigue” in Dexter: Resurrection. The character will work closely with Uma Thurman’s character, a former Special Ops officer and Prater’s right-hand woman.
