Peter Capaldi Comforts a Young Fan as Doctor Who in a Video Message

Updated on:

Peter Capaldi may be sarcastic, grumpy, and awkward as most recent incarnation of The Doctor in Doctor Who, but as a human being he’s proved to us, once again, how generous, kind, and compassionate he is.

A 9 year autistic boy named Thomas, reached out to 12th Doctor after losing his dear nanny. The day before the funeral the child received this message. The boys father posted this soon after this video went viral:

“Made such a huge difference and helped him cope with the hardest of days. It was an incredibly kind thing to do that has help Thomas gain perspective and not feel so alone in his grief. Where Thomas is autistic, he doesn’t feel emotions the same way the rest of us do so this has been incredibly hard for him. This message seems to have given him the strength to keep going, with his chin up.

Wish I could thank Mr Capaldi in person.

Ross.”

What makes Peter Capaldi so sweet is that he didn’t do this for the acknowledgment, he did it because he’s a kind and empathetic man who seems to really embrace being a role model to kids and adults alike. He’s one of the good guys, for sure.

Hmmm…he may be creeping into my favorite Doctor spot. Watch out Tom Baker and David Tennant.
