Good news, demigods! With the D23 Expo 2022 in full swing, we have our first sneak peek at the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians adaptation. Read on for our breakdown of the teaser trailer and to learn what we know so far.
This teaser is the first real look we have at the new adaptation. While the Disney+ show is still a long way off, the trailer does a great job of setting up the show’s tone. With narration from Percy Jackson himself (Walker Scobell), viewers catch glimpses of a fantastic-looking Camp Half-Blood, wise owls and even the iconic orange t-shirts.

Based on the best-selling Percy Jackson and the Olympians books by Rick Riordan, the series follows 12-year-old Percy Jackson as he learns he’s a demigod and heads to Camp Half-Blood to train with other kids like him. Soon, however, he ends up in the center of a war between the gods and must travel to the Underworld if he wants to save everyone.
Right now Percy Jackson doesn’t have an official release date. Still, now that we have the first official footage, fans can hopefully expect a more concrete announcement soon. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you’re most excited to see on screen!
