Peacemaker Season 2
Do ya really wanna, do ya really wanna watch it? DC Studios and Warner Bros. Television have unleashed the official teaser trailer for Peacemaker Season 2, the series hailing from James Gunn and starring John Cena. The highly anticipated second season will debut this year with eight brand-spankin’ new episodes.

Here’s a synopsis per Warner Bros. Discovery:
“The new season follows Christopher ‘Chris’ Smith, aka Peacemaker, the vigilante superhero, as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evildoer butt in his misguided quest for peace at any cost.”
The Cast and Crew
The season stars John Cena as our titular butt kicker, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Steve Agee as John Economos and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith/White Dragon. New cast members include Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., David Denman, Sol Rodriguez as Sasha Bordeaux and Tim Meadows as Langston Fleury.
James Gunn penned all Season 2 episodes and is at the helm for three. Also directing are Greg Mottola, Peter Sollett and Althea Jones. Gunn serves as an executive producer alongside Cena and Peter Safran.

The teaser showcases Chris Smith’s audition for the Justice League, with Maxwell Lord (Sean Gunn), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced) and Guy Gardner/Green Lantern (Nathan Fillion) deciding his fate. Unfortunately, the trio rejects him.
Additionally, we see our newfound heroes struggle with the world not recognizing their efforts in saving, well, the world in the Season 1 finale. Meanwhile, Rick Flag Sr. exacts vengeance against Peacemaker for killing his son in The Suicide Squad (2021), and Harcourt might have a toxic masculinity problem. As for Eagly, he’s just as cute as ever.
