We have more news surrounding HBO Max‘s upcoming DC series, Peacemaker! Variety shared that exclusive news that they have cast Alison Araya and Lenny Jacobson in recurring roles. They will be portraying a married couple named Alex and Evan, but not much is known past that. It seems we will have to wait until the series airs to get answers on how they fit into the story.

Peacemaker is a spinoff of James Gunn‘s The Suicide Squad film coming out in August of this year. The series will explore Peacemaker’s (John Cena) origins. He believes in obtaining peace by any means necessary, even if the body count is a bit high.

Araya and Jacobson join Cena, Danielle Brooks, Chris Conrad, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Robert PatrickNhut Le and Chukwudi Iwuji. Gunn will be serving as executive producer and writing and directing multiple Peacemaker episodes, including the series’ pilot. HBO Max has ordered a total of eight episodes. Cena will serve as co-executive producer.

Peacemaker is set to start filming early this year before Gunn begins work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Check back with us for more exciting news!
