If you are just getting over the Gamescon 2017 news, then now is a good time to start talking about PAX West 2017. The gaming festival, organized by Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik of Penny Arcade, will be at the Washington State Convention Center, September 1-4. It’ll be quite the event.
Square Enix has already announced their lineup of games, demos and panels for the event. Here is what you can look forward to if you’re going to be at PAX.
Demos
At the Square Enix booth (#2141), attendees will be able to play demos of the remastered Secret of Mana and the mobile game Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, and Lost Sphear will also be playable.

In addition to having Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition on hand, there will be other mobile games available to play including Flame vs Blaze, King’s Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon, and Mobius Final Fantasy.
At the Razer booth (#2343) attendees will be able to play the Windows version of Final Fantasy XV.

Over at the Square Enix Products booth (#SKY3) there will be exclusive Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary items for sale. There will also be Final Fantasy Trading Card Game events and demos.
Panels
Square Enix development teams will also be at PAX West 2017 and will be participating in a variety of panels. Here’s the lineup:
Life is Strange: Before the Storm – A New Series Has Begun
- Friday, September 1 – 1:00pm at the Hydra Theater
- Developers from Deck Nine Games will be talking about the first episode of the new Life is Strange game. They will present news details about the game and give some insights into the game’s development. At the end, there will be a Q&A session.
Mobius Final Fantasy: 1-Year Anniversary Panel
- Friday, September 1 – 5:00pm-6:00pm at the Hippogriff Theater
- Final Fantasy producer Yoshinori Kitase will discuss future updates and how this game was developed for mobile devices.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm Launch Party with What’s Good Games
- Friday, September 1 – 6:00pm-9:00pm at the Unicorn
- The crew from What’s Good Games and the developers from Deck Nine Games will celebrate the launch of the first episode of Life is Strange: Before the Storm. There will be games and prizes, including Square Enix items and custom items from What’s Good Games.
Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood – Tales of Localization and Lore
- Saturday September 2 – 1:00pm-2:00pm at the Hydra Theater
- English Localization lead Michael-Christopher Koji Fox will discuss the lore and localization for Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood. There will also be a Q&A session.
