Greetings, friends, and welcome to Mobile Game Monday, where we chat about games you can play on the go. If you like gaming on a phone or tablet, this is the place for you. Join us every week as we go on all sorts of adventures.

The holidays are right around the corner, which for some means entertaining large groups of people. I can’t think of a better excuse to break out some party games. Here is a list of four games that are sure to make you the life of the party this holiday season.

Wavelength

Wavelength is a mobile adaptation of the mind-reading party game from Asmodee and CMYK games. It is a social guessing game where two teams compete to read each other’s minds. Wavelength is described by developers as a party game of infinite possibilities. Is spaghetti wet? Is Darth Vader a wizard? Have a friendly debate and see which of you are on the same wavelength.

Out of the Loop

Out of the Loop is a one-phone party game for three to nine players created by Tasty Rook. Someone in the group is out of the loop, and players must question each other to discover who. Choose a category and get a secret word that not everyone is lucky enough to know. If you happen to be the one in the dark, try to blend in by asking questions that will not draw suspicion.

Taboo

Taboo is a word-guessing party game created by Parker Brothers in 1989. I remember my family having all-night Taboo tournaments when I was a kid. At the time, I was too young to understand the game, but I loved playing with the timer. This is the revamped version for mobile devices created by Marmalade Games. The goal is to get your team to guess a word without mentioning any of the Taboo words.

Tuku Tuku

Tuku Tuku is a collection of simple party games developed by Mateusz Drzazga. Choose from a variety of games inspired by popular party classics like Charades. Or try 5 Seconds, where players must answer questions under pressure. The app can accommodate up to 20 players, which makes it ideal for large groups.
