Outlander season five is coming to Starz very soon. A season five trailer was released on Friday that finds Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jaime (Sam Heughan) fighting to keep their family together in time-space and struggling with their role in history.
Season five looks toward the American Revolution. It looks like Jaime will have to choose between protecting his kin and honoring his oaths to the British empire. I wonder which he will pick?
Claire has an 18th century medical emergency to contend with. She’s using her future knowledge in the past, and there’s a moral question to be asked. Is she playing god? Are they all constantly creating paradoxes? Maybe, yes.
Bree (Sophie Skelton) and Roger (Richard Rankin) are facing a coming war and a decision to stay or leave the time where their family resides. But, it would be way better to leave. Objectively better. The American Revolution wasn’t a great time, and you know, disease and hard living and everything. Get out of there! They won’t.
