Last week, the USA Network teased us with a new Mr. Robot trailer for season 2 called “We Are the Bold” which contained no new footage but had a chilling voice over from main character Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek).

Today we get another fun teaser to announce the premiere date for Mr. Robot’s sophomore season – July 13, 2016. The teaser is another clever one from USA. We see Elliot at his computer doing his fsociety thing with a bruised and bloodied face. There’s a knock at the door which turns into a crescendo of knocks which is indicative of Elliot’s mental state. This quick snippet is scored with Paul McCartney’s Let ‘Em In and ends with Elliot staring at his front door from his computer as the knocks gets louder and are joined by other multiple fists pounding with the last lyric being, “Open the door, and let ’em in.”

About: MR. ROBOT is a psychological thriller that follows Elliot (Rami Malek, “24”), a young programmer, who works as a cyber security engineer by day and a vigilante hacker by night. Elliot finds himself at a crossroads when the mysterious leader (Christian Slater, “The Adderall Diaries”) of an underground hacker group recruits him to destroy the corporation he is paid to protect. Compelled by his personal beliefs, Elliot struggles to resist the chance to take down the multinational CEOs he believes are running (and ruining) the world. The series also stars Portia Doubleday (“Her”), Carly Chaikin (“Suburgatory”) and Martin Wallström (“Simple Simon”).
