Tim Kono’s murder is behind us, but Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building treads new territory for its sophomore season, including new characters! As reported by DeadlineMartin Short teased Season Two of the mega-popular crime-comedy show after receiving his first-ever SAG nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.

Guess what? Not only is Cara Delevingne joining the fray, but Amy Schumer and the legendary Shirley MacLaine will take up residence at the Arconia, too. But that’s not all! Nathan Lane, a.k.a. Teddy Dimas, will make a not-so triumphant return to the series (“not-so triumphant” given his exit last season).

Here’s what Short had to say regarding working with MacLaine and Schumer:

Before Christmas, [I shot scenes with] Shirley MacLaine and Amy Schumer. The quality of actor that this show is attracting makes it endlessly fun to go to work.

Short recently shot a scene with Tina Fey. She portrays podcast titan Cinda Canning and crafts her new show following the arrests of Oliver (Short), Charles (Steve Martin) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) for the murder of Bunny. Production for episodes three and four of a 10-episode season is currently underway.

Martin also earned a Screen Actors Guild Awards nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series. He and Short will go head-to-head in the same category when the awards show airs next month.

Unfortunately and unjustly, Gomez was shuttered from the SAG nominations, even though she held her own against two comedic titans. She played the “straight character” — not an easy role to execute when acting with Steve Martin and Martin Short. Here’s hoping she finally gets the recognition she deserves next go-round.

I’m excited for Season Two and the surprises in store for us. Last season ended on a massive cliffhanger!

Season One of Only Murders in the Building currently streams on Hulu.
