The reboot just got a bit classier. According to THR, thespian Sir Patrick Stewart has signed on to join Charlie’s Angels as Bosley, an assistant to Charlie who helps the Angels with their missions. However, if you had been following the news of this reboot, you’ll know Stewart isn’t the first to join as Bosley. The Elizabeth Banks led endeavor has cast two different Bosleys, with the first being Banks herself!
So how does that happen? Well, it appears that the twist in this reboot is that there will be multiple agents named Bosley that Charlie Townsend has hired. In fact, the whole operation has gone global! THR relayed the plot of the film to give us further details. “The new story takes the female-fronted detective-agency premise of the original 1976-81 TV series, and 2000 and 2003 movies global, with the Townsend Agency now a security and intelligence service that has teams around the world. The movie will focus on one of those teams and the next generation of Angels”. Those team members being Kristen Stewart (Twilight), Naomi Scott (Power Rangers, Aladdin) and Ella Balinska.

It will be interesting to see if they cast any more actors as a ‘Bosley’ agent. However, with Sir Patrick Stewart on board, my interest has been piqued. Will he be one of their main agents or will be just be in a scene or two? I have many questions, none of which can be answered for now. But this will be something to watch out for, not only for Sir Patrick Stewart but for Elizabeth Banks as well. Not only is Banks directing and starring in it, she’ll also be producing and has helped re-write the script. She’s all over this film! We’ll have to wait a bit longer to see how this film is turning out but you have our attention!
What do you think of the casting news? Are you looking forward to seeing Sir Patrick Stewart in the reboot or are you just too excited for him to return to Star Trek? Let us know!
