A scene from Interview With the Vampire season 2 with Louis and Armand looking at each other in front of a grand estate. Someone can be seen through a second floor window

Interview With the Vampire fans at New York Comic-Con got an exclusive first look at Season 2 – and now everyone can too! AMC debuted a brand new clip yesterday before sharing it with the rest of the world. Read on to find out more.

Anne Rice’Interview with the Vampire premiered in October 2022. The series follows the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) as he finally tells his tale to a reporter, Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). His story begins in 20th-century New Orleans. There, Louis meets, falls for and is turned by the vampire Lestat du Lioncourt (Sam Reid). Together the vampires experience immortality in New Orleans and beyond.

The scene opens with Louis du Pointe du Lac and Claudia (Delainey Hayles) arriving at an estate by motorcycle, led by Armand (Assad Zaman) and a crew of vampires. Most of the vamps, including Claudia, head inside to massacre the residents, but Louis and Armand remain outside. They smoke and flirt, with Armand declaring “I am now where I most want to be.” Meanwhile, humans scream in horror, banging on the windows and flinging themselves off the balcony in attempts to escape.

The subject then shifts to Claudia, a “spark in the dark,” and Armand expresses that it’s a pity she was turned so young. He then offers to help Louis learn to block others from his thoughts. Louis says “That’d be great” with a slightly pained expression. Armand replies, “Good, because I do believe I felt some trepidation when the name Lestat was uttered.” Louis simply scoffs and asks “Who?”

There are some great details in this short clip, including Louis playing tourist as he photographs the estate and Claudia clearly recognizing the flirtation that’s about to occur. There’s even a man in the background who falls into a fountain after literally losing his head. The contrast of Louis and Armand’s conversation and the bloodbath behind them gives fans a hint at the darkly comedic tone they can expect from Season 2. This is a scene that’s definitely worth a rewatch.

There’s still no premiere date for Season 2 of Interview With the Vampire. The clip simply ends with “coming 2024.” Still, it will hopefully keep fans entertained a little longer! Let us know what you think of the new scene below, and keep an eye out for more news.
