NYCC 2018: HARLEY QUINN Casts Kaley Cuoco As the Clown Princess of Crime

Updated on:

There has been a lot of news coming out of NYCC 2018 from DC Universe. So much so it’s almost hard to keep track of! And one of those things was that the animated Harley Quinn series has found their lead. Not only that, but they announced the rest of the cast as well! Though sadly without elaborating on whose playing who, outside of a few people. So here’s what we know.

A teaser video showed to fans saw Harley and Poison Ivy sitting inside an Arkham cell, talking about the upcoming  show. The “adult” animated series will include action, comedy, and “gratuitous” amounts of violence. But will be fun, apparently, or Harley will bash some skulls in. They take shots at both DC and Marvel in some Deadpool level 4th wall breaking. Even Batman makes an appearance.

Kaley Cuoco, best known for her role on The Big Bang Theory has been cast as the clown princess of crime. An unexpected choice but it could work. She’ll be joined by Lake Bell (voicing Poison Ivy), Jason Alexander, Alan TudykDiedrich Bader, Ron Funches, J.B. Smooth, Wanda SykesGiancarlo Esposito, Natalie Morales, Jim Rash, Tony Hale and Christopher Meloni. That’s such an incredible list of actors, I’m pretty impressed. The best part is that Bader will be reprising his role as Batman. I thoroughly enjoy his goofy take on the Caped Crusader in The Brave and the Bold animated series.

As for the “adult” part of the show – I don’t know if we really need it. Don’t have have enough adult content on the platform? We’ll have to wait and see when it premieres fall of 2019. Check out the teaser below and let us know what you think. Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more news about the DC Universe.
