Not only is November packed with the launch of the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5, but there are also a ton of exciting game releases to pick up and play! From Vikings to Spider-Man, or the Cold War to Hyrule, there is a new game for every gamer this month. Here are November’s most anticipated games that all of us at GGA are looking forward to playing this November!

XIII Remake

We are kicking off our November’s most anticipated games list with a bang! What would you do if you woke up one day and couldn’t remember anything? What would you do when you realize that you have a specific set of skills? Oh, and that you may be responsible for the assassination of the US President? XIII will have you asking yourself these very questions. This is a remake of the highly popular cel-shaded shooter game from 2003. The story follows XIII as he uncovers the mystery behind his amnesia while trying to prove his innocence. Players will have access to a long list of weapons, including everything from your standard pistol to harpoon guns. There is a lot of work to get done, so sharpen those shooting skills and get ready to dive in.

XIII will release on November 10, 2020, for PC through Steam, the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Finally, my hours watching Vikings are going to pay off. After the success of both Assassin’s Creed Origins and the most recent Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, one can be utterly optimistic about the next AC game. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, we play as Eivor, a Viking in AD 873. We follow Eivor as they traverse the seas to wreak havoc on Anglo-Saxon settlements and wage war against the kingdoms of Northumbria, Wessex, Mercia, and East Anglia. What’s an appealing part of this game is not the overly bloody conquests or the number of times I’ll be yelling “Skol!” but that Eivor can be either male or female (or switch it up at any point in the game). So, whether you want to be a strong Viking warrior or a powerful Shieldmaiden, the choice will be yours when Assassin’s Creed Valhalla arrives in a few short weeks.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will release on November 10, 2020, for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and Amazon Luna.

Bugsnax

Do you like food and puzzle-based adventure gameplay? Then have we got the game for you! From the creators of Octodad: Dadliest Catch comes Bugsnax, a stylized fun game that is all about collecting, trapping, and snacking on, well, Bugsnax! Players take on the role of a newspaper reporter sent to investigate Snaktooth island. Once there, it is up to the players to discover the island’s mysteries, assist the other inhabitants, and ultimately find disgraced explorer Elizabert Megafig. After its debut during the Playstation 5 Reveal live stream, gamers have fallen for this charming and silly title. All of us at GGA cannot wait to capture (and snack) on some Bugsnax!

Bugsnax will be available on November 12, 2020, for the PC and Mac through the Epic Games Store, PS4 and PS5.

Godfall

It’s time to armor up and prevent the Apocalypse! In Godfall, you play a member of the Knight’s Order, charged with stopping an earth-destroying event. Together with your fellow Knights, you will take on the evil forces at work. The game is unique in that your Knight can choose its weapons class, including longsword, polearm, two-handed war hammer, two-handed greatsword, and dual blades, based on the Valorplates he or she equips. If you’ve seen the trailer, you know that this is a gorgeous looking game and that combat will be fluid and challenging. Developer Counterplay Games and publisher Gearbox Publishing recently released the PC specs needed to run Godfall. Needless to say, you need a hefty rig to take on this massive game.

Godfall will release on November 12, 2020, for the PC and PlayStation 5.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Ever since the Oscorp spider bit Miles Morales in Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, fans anxiously awaited when his spider story would take center stage. And now, it’s finally here! Throughout Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Miles must balance being a superhero, assisting his Mom with her run for City Council, and ending the war between Roxxon Energy Corporation & The Tinkerer’s Army. This title features new quests, abilities, suits, and features, including the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man app. I cannot wait to see this continuation of Insomniac’s series, and hope that this means there are even more Spider-Man games to come! We are pretty certain that this is on everyone’s November’s most anticipated games list!

Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War

Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War serves as a direct sequel to 2010’s Call of Duty: Black Ops. CIA officer Russell Adler (Bruce Thomas) believes that a Soviet agent codenamed “Perseus” has been reactivated for the first time since 1968 and is planning an attack on the West. As players seek to expose Perseus’s conspiracy, they will visit iconic Cold War locations such as East Berlin, southern (now Communist) Vietnam, Turkey, and even KGB headquarters in Moscow. Whether hunting down the KBG’s boogeyman or shooting the heads off zombies, this next installment in the Call of Duty series seems determined to let players have their cake and eat it too.

Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War releases on November 13, 2020, for the PC, Xbox Series X, PS5, PS4 and Xbox One.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity

Did you not think this would make our November’s most anticipated games list? The original Hyrule Warriors introduced the hack-and-slash gameplay of Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors to the world of The Legend of ZeldaHyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity takes us back a whole century before the events of 2017’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In addition to Link, players can play as a host of other Zelda characters: the four champions of Hyrule (Mipha, Daruk, Revali, and Urbosa), a younger Impa, and even Princess Zelda herself! Each character wields unique weapons and attacks in combat. Regardless of who you play as Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is sure to offer up an epic game as players experience firsthand the battles that destroyed the Hyrule they have come to know and explore for the past three years.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will be available on November 20, 2020, for the Nintendo Switch.

WOW Shadowlands

After a slight delay, it is finally time for adventurers to make the jump into the world of the dead in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. Thankfully the release is in time for it to make our November’s most anticipated games list! This will be the eighth expansion for the highly popular MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game). Players will follow Sylvanus into the afterlife following her destruction of the Helm of Damnation and the thin veil separating the Shadowlands from Azeroth. However, she is just a smaller part of a larger scheme. The realms of the Shadowlands are struggling to survive after, and it is up to players to restore rightful order. This WoW expansion promises to be one of the best yet, featuring quality of life changes, class changes and balancing, and new additional content.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will launch worldwide on November 24, 2020, for PC through Battle.net
