The CW’s The Flash ended on a interesting note last season. Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris’ (Candice Patton) daughter Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) arrived from the future to ask for help. In season five premiere trailer, Nora’s presence and the arrival of a new villain stir things up in Central City.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the super couple’s speedster daughter. If you recall, we met Nora during last season’s Arrowverse Crossover. She disguised herself as a waitress at Barry and Iris’ wedding, almost spilling water on the groom. She appeared a few more times after that at Jitters, bumping into the rest of Team Flash. Everyone but Iris had met her at some point in the season. She even showed up at her parents apartment to give a gift to Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) and Joe’s (Jesse L. Martin) new baby. She literally sped off before Iris could come to the door. And she finally showed up at the West family home to introduce herself to her parents in the finale.

It seems Nora’s jet setting has disrupted the timeline and now she is stuck in the past. She tells Barry that she messed up. But what did she mess up? By the look of things, Nora and Barry are close in the future. As for Iris, that’s hard to tell. And then there’s that creepy guy, Cicada (Chris Kline). First of all, why is he creeping on Joe? It looks like Cicada wastes no time causing trouble. Barry should have an easy time with this one, but Nora’s appearance may have changed things. Maybe she meant to change things by the looks of the last scene in the trailer.
So much happens in the trailer. The show will jump right into the action. I have so many questions about Nora, her life with the West-Allens, and the reasons she traveled back in time. Check out the first trailer for the premiere episode below.
