Netflix has announced a new upcoming comedy series and I am here for it. I know I have the mouth of a trucker and a History of Swear Words is exactly what I need to help broaden my understanding of my foul language. And who else better to host this spectacular show? Nicolas Cage of course! Netflix describes the series as a history lesson you didn’t know you needed. It is a loud and proudly profane series that explores the origins, pop culture-usage, science and cultural impact of our favorite curse words.

Cage will sit down with experts from etymology to historians and entertainers to dissect and discuss six very highly used swear words. History of Swear Words is a six-part series where each episode focuses on a specific word. Cage and his crew will be diving into “F**k”, “S**t”, “B*tch”, “D**k”, “Pu**y” and of course “Damn”. All words I am pretty sure Cage himself has used on numerous occasions throughout his film career.
History of Swear Words has a long list of guest stars and experts including Joel Kim Booster, DeRay Davis, Nick Offerman, Sarah Silverman, Benjamin Bergen, Melissa Mohr to name a few. Bellamie Blackstone is the showrunner and executive producer. Each episode will be 20-minutes long and packed with knowledge, humor and no end to the amount of swear words that come out of Cage’s mouth.
