Peacemaker is rounding out its cast! As reported by Deadline, Nhut Le is set to recur as Judomaster on James Gunn‘s HBO Max series.
Now, Judomaster first made a splash in the comic book scene with his debut in Special War Series #4 in November 1965. He was initially known as Hadley “Rip” Jagger, a sergeant who fought in World War II. Later, a female Judomaster named Sonia Sato made her appearance in 2007’s Birds of Prey #100. Judomaster is an advanced martial artist whose specialty lies in judo.
Le is most known for his work on Kroll Show, where he recurred throughout the show’s tenure. Most recently, he guest-starred in an episode of Disney’s Raven’s Home led by Raven-Symoné. Additionally, Le is a UCB and Groundlings alum.

Peacemaker, a spin-off of the upcoming blockbuster The Suicide Squad, follows John Cena as a man “who believes in peace at any cost — no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.” Gunn has penned all eight installments of the show and will be at the helm for multiple episodes. Peter Safran and Cena serve as co-executive producers alongside Gunn.
Besides Cena, Peacemaker stars Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Chris Conrad, Chukwudi Iwuji and Robert Patrick. It was announced back in December that Christopher Heyerdahl, Annie Chang and Lochlyn Munro will recur.
Production for Peacemaker is slated to begin early this year. The Suicide Squad will premiere Friday, August 6, with an initial one-month run on HBO Max followed by a theatrical release.
Anything Gunn touches turns to gold, so the prospect of Peacemaker really excites me. We’ve seen what he can do with the MCU. Now, it’s time to take that magic over to the DCEU.
