Wow.
Last night’s Arrow.
They actually did it.
SPOILERS AHEAD
They killed one of their core team members. They’ve killed main characters before — Oliver’s best friend Tommy, Oliver’s mother Moira — but they’ve never killed a core member of Team Arrow and this is absolutely certain to have some massive reverberations, especially with John’s brother Andy and his betrayal so crucial to the death. We’re going to see some friction between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Diggle (David Ramsey) now, see Oliver doing his best to hold back while trying to move on with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards).
And poor Captain Lance. He’s lost a daughter, got her back, lost her again, then gotten her back a second time, and now he’s lost the other daughter. How would someone even comprehend that, let alone deal with it. How real can death be to someone who’s daughter has resurrected twice, literally and figuratively.
In this trailer for next week’s episode “Canary Cry” we already see some of the effects taking place with John Diggle crossing the line and pulling Ruve Darhk out to shoot her. Will he do it? Is he crossing that line?
Secretly, we’re probably all hoping so.
